SS18 Invitation

For its spring-summer 2018 collection, OAMC entrusts Atrois Studio the task of realizing its invitation. Asked whether politics and fashion can truly exist as a form of protest and awareness, OAMC decided to address the issue in its latest collection.

The theme of this collection being protest, Atrois Studio realized a simple invitation, containing white ear plugs in a transparent silk-screened bag to highlight the concept of protest and noise. The digital invitations echoed the same concept by compiling black and white protest archive images in gifs.

The names on the cover are the names of the models. They can be interpreted as the “guest-list” of the party.

The binding is made of a simple silver elastic, so that each person can organize the book in his way.

The second format in the middle of the book is printed on recycled paper with a ‘raw’ touch to strengthen the idea of an underground atmosphere.

αίών — Correspondances

Quanta Records entrusts Atrois Studio with the artistic direction of the label. For its first release, the studio creates the first cover of the artist αίών (aeon) with his LP “Correspondences”.

Atrois Studio graphically interprets the duality between the two atmospheres present in this LP to form a complex but balanced whole.

The tracks of the album communicate through similar sounds, noises and rhythmic patterns. But while atmospheres diverge, there is a constant exchange from cold and industrial to solar and melodious so as to form a complex and balanced ensemble.

αίών’s has placed randomness at the centre of his creative process. Computing and random programming have allowed the artist to explore new structures and to no longer simply consider a glitch as an error, but rather as a primal source of novel sound.

The outcome is a collection of sinuous and contemplative Correspondances that aims at contorting the listener’s subjective experience of time on this mini LP that combines experimental techno, ambient and musique concrète elements.

Identity, Webdesign, Minimalism, Architecture

Agence Laurent Pisoni

Laurent Pisoni, Parisian interior designer, entrusts Atrois Studio with the artistic direction of his agency.

The Studio delivers an efficient and refined identity of the interior designer’s working image.

Atrois Studio used black and white as main colours for this identity. These colours refer to architectural plans. The primary information is in black like the foundations of a building drawn on a plan and the light grey evokes the tip of a pencil.

The graphic identity consists of typography only. It was worked in a contemporary way in order to translate the minimalist vision of the agency. The website sports a clean, structured and clear design consisting of discrete animations and a full screen display.

This identity blends refinement and elegance to the test of time.

Études de l'Esprit

Following a special order, Atrois Studio realized a single copy book, bound by hand.

This editorial object of 80 pages dives into the mind of an Italian living in London. Composed of personal images, conversations and expressions of the protagonist, the book recounts his clumsiness in a quirky way.

This graphic experimentation establishes a dialogue between images and words from his wacky expressions.

The graphics, which changes with the chapters, segments the thought of this man. One part is treated as a bitmap, the other pink duotone to obtain a uniform and smooth graphics content.

Techno Parade '15

Founded in 1998 in Paris, the Techno Parade aims to promote and democratize electronic culture. Following the tender of Technopol, Atrois Studio proposed a graphic identity for this event. The studio has developed a concept based on the sound wave.

Atrois Studio has worked on the movement of the sound wave as well as it’s representation in time and space. The will of the studio was to visually recreate the wave, which is usually invisible.

2015 was also the year celebrating 130 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between France and Korea. Therefore these waves represent the communication between the two countries.

Atrois studio used blue, white and red, colours common to both countries. The combination of blue and red tricks the brain and excites it, which gives an additional dynamic to the poster. This blue and red are also RGB colours at 100%, suitable for dynamic digital communication.

Atrois Studio has chosen a typography, developed in the 1970’s, designed to be recognised by machines and humans. It has a digital and futuristic aspect which visually transcribes, firstly, electronic music, and secondly, the relationship between the DJ and their turntable. The typography also honours the pioneers of the Electronic music, German group Kraftwerk’s album covers.

The Wonderglass logo refers to the contemporary design of lights and is in opposition to the classical typography, which refers to the skill of glass blowing.

Atrois Studio combines tradition and design.
